NATIONAL CHEMISTRY COMPETITION FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS.

 

The 2011 National Chemistry Competition, which is one of the major activities during the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) Annual International Conference and Exhibition, was held at Kwara State polytechnic and thirteen Chapters participated but a total of twenty five students were present.  The Competition was held on 19th September 2011 at 9am and the performance of the students is as shown below.  The best three students for three positions were given prize money of N25,000.00 for the first position, N20,000.00 for the second and the third positions was given  N15,000.00.  All the other students were given consolation prizes.  It is the policy of CSN to award a SCHOLARSHIP to the best student who studies CHEMISTRY in any University in Nigeria.  This year, 2011 is the INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF CHEMISTRY (IYC) and to mark its importance CSN gave desktop computers to the schools of the students that had the best three scores.  This to encourage the schools and students.
